We understand that preparing a Will can lead to quite a few questions – which is great! We are here to help you understand the process, answer questions and help navigate you through.

CAN WILLFRED SEE MY WILL?

No. Only you and your Executor(s) can see your Will. The two witnesses will see it momentarily, while witnessing, but they do not receive a copy.

WHY DO I NEED A WILL?

A Will is the best way to prepare for the unexpected. You can be clear about who gets your assets, how much, and when. You can ensure your assets don’t go to the wrong people i.e. like an estranged relative or an ex-partner. You can choose who should care for your children if they are still underage. A Will gives you control over how you want your estate distributed when you’re no longer around.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A WILL?

If you pass away without a Will, the state where you live determines how your property is distributed when you pass away. This includes any bank accounts, securities, real estate, and any other assets you own at the time. It can be costly and messy for your family member to have to go to court and prove their relationship with you. This could become more complicated if multiple family members fight to have control of your assets – complicated can also mean more costly.

IS WILLFRED LEGAL?

Yes – we consulted and checked this with a Queen’s Counsel.

Your Will at Willfred is more formal, secure, and up to date than a lot of Wills presented in courts. An online Will created eight months ago is a more accurate reflection of your current wishes than a paper Will physically created eight years ago (if you can even find it). There are countless examples of less-formal Wills being upheld by courts. Here is an example of a less-formal Will being accepted by a Judge and setting precedent:

HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT?

Instructions to activate your account will be sent via email once you submit the registration form. If you did not receive this email, your email service provider’s mailing software may be blocking it. Try checking your junk/spam folder or contact us at [email protected]

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDERS & PAYMENT?

After logging into your account, the status of your checkout history can be found under Payment > History.

HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENTS USING STRIPE? HOW DOES IT WORK?

Stripe is the easiest way to make payments online. While checking out your order, you will be redirected to the Stripe website. Be sure to fill in correct details for fast & hassle-free payment processing. After a successful Stripe payment, a payment advice will be automatically generated into the system for your order.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT METHODS AVAILABLE?

At the moment, we only accept Credit/Debit cards and Stripe payments.

CAN I PAY USING STRIPE WITHOUT A STRIPE ACCOUNT?

Yes! It is commonly misunderstood that a Stripe account is needed in order to make payments through Stripe. The truth is you do not need one, although we strongly recommend you sign up to enjoy the added ease of use.

Without a Stripe account, all you need is any Debit/Credit card stated below that is supported by Stripe.

By using Stripe, we can process & deliver your orders to you in a shorter time. Stripe is the easiest & most secure way to make payment online. No account needed.
